Enjoyable stay will be back. While the Inn is around 200 years old it was a nice mix of old world charm and modern touches that blended well. We stayed in one of the King rooms with a Jacuzzi tub. The bed was extremely comfortable with a ton of pillows (which is a must for me). The room was immaculate with nice amenities such as soft terrycloth bathrobes, fluffy towels, an iphone dock/clock, flat screen TV, good wifi, and gas fireplace. The in-room Jacuzzi tub was very large, had strong jets, and filled up fast. The wall paper and old world décor was inviting and comfortable. The amenities at the inn made for an enjoyable weekend. A charming old bar/lounge room with comfortable seating, old photos showing the inns 200 year old history, and they had a large selection of standard and specialty spirits behind an open bar, and the owner was happy to make any drink we wanted. Selections of books to read all around the inn. We had fun in the cellar bar/lounge playing pool and darts. The somewhat floral décored lounge and the rocking chairs on the front porch were great places to read and watch the birds at the bird feeders. The hotel has a soothing, large about 6-8 person indoor hot tub/Jacuzzi (you get to it from outside the rooms though). I did not get to use the outdoor pool (not yet open in April) or the tennis court, volleyball, or canoe/row boats for the lake, but they looked nice. The front desk/dining room staff were extremely friendly and made breakfasts of some of the best blueberry waffles with maple syrup I have ever had along with delicious eggs and bacon. It was close to places to eat and things to do in the area and I liked that there was a small store a very short walk across the road. Best Maple Creeme shop and Singleton’s store (both a must) are a short drive.

Charming

This is my second year in a row staying here. I love this place. Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing. The breakfast is delicious (haven’t had dinner there yet), and everyone is so kind. The room is comfortable and tidy. I had a chance to read out by the pool and fell asleep to the sounds of birds in the trees. I definitely will return back again next summer. Just lovely!

Great customer service, peaceful get away

My husband and I booked this Inn for a Vermont getaway. We were pleasantly surprised at finding such a gem outside of Ludlow. The rate was great, the staff so attentive, the room immaculate and bathroom large and it had a great shower. The breakfast was a full country breakfast with eggs as you desired, French toast and special omelettes. Special kudos to Diane and Chris, Melinda, Max, and a very special thank you to Ann Marie for her special breakfast cooking and caring attention. We thought the dinner meal was extraordinary for the price. Kudos to the chef for the delicious gourmet meal. We will be coming again!

A great find!
We keep returning to the Echo Lake Inn because of its rural and historic appearance, friendly staff, excellent food, and a short drive to get into Ludlow. It is slightly off the beaten path ( 5 miles off main road?). The kitchen must have a well trained, experienced chef because the entrees are always nicely prepared. Hard to go wrong with any choice on the menu. Rooms are well appointed and retain the old historic theme that works so well in Vermont.

Pleasant, relaxing, and fine dining

My husband and I attended weekend wedding festivities at the Echo Lake Inn. What a lovely spot to celebrate a special occasion. Friday’s barbecue featured a nice selection of grilled meats and salads. The bonfire provided the perfect backdrop to watch the full moon rise. The weather cooperated for Saturday’s outside wedding ceremony. A guitar player welcomed the guests to the grotto for the ceremony. Afterwards, cocktails and appetizers allowed guests to mingle before dinner. The buffet meal was scrumptious! All items were presented nicely. Kudos to the staff for their attention to detail, accommodating requests, and friendly personalities!

Great wedding venue

I went to Echo Lake Inn twice. Once to view for a wedding consult and another to stay for a little get away. The inn is lovely, the staff is excellent, and the food is to die for. I’m having my wedding next year and I can’t wait for it! I would never stay any where else if I was in the area.

Wonderful stay

Echo Lake inn recently hosted our son’s wedding. Everything from arrival on Friday evening to departure on Sunday could not have been better, The entire staff made us feel as if the Inn was our home for the weekend and could not have been more attentive or helpful. The food was outstanding and there are not enough words to describe how beautiful and comfortable the Inn is. I’ve told everyone that if you look up Vermont Christmas Wedding in the dictionary you’ll find Echo Lake Inn. Thanks so much for a memorable weekend!

Perfect Wedding

What a wonderful breakfast. Hearty, hot and delicious. Best pancakes ever. !!
Friendly staff too. We’ll be back – maybe just for breakfast…..Wonderful atmosphere and easy access to Okemo Mountain for skiing.

Great breakfasts

We have stayed at Echo Lake Inn probably five times in the last eight years. We come up to ski over President’s Week with our teens. The Inn is charming – super cozy and welcoming. The owner Tom is accommodating, helpful and friendly, as is the staff. We love the restaurant where we have consistently had excellent, gourmet meals. The included breakfast is good – especially the french toast. We have mostly stayed in rooms 22 and 20 which are adjoined by a bathroom and perfect for a family of four. We have also stayed in one of the condos, which was quite spacious. There is a big common space/living room with fireplace, a bar, and a basement with darts, Foosball and pool. Echo Lake Inn is so convenient to both Okemo (5 min to Jackson Gore) and Killington (15 min to Bear Mtn lodge) and it’s great to return to such a comfortable place and a delicious meal. We will be back!

We love Echo Lake Inn

Very pleasant and attentive staff that really provide a home from home experience. The food is delicious and plentiful. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and would highly recommend The Echo Lake Inn. I will most definitely stop by if I’m in the area.
