Dear Tom and Team, Thank you so much for an absolutely wonderful time at your B&B! My boyfriend and I recently joined you for two nights in room fl, after three nights and three big days of snowboarding at Okemo. The transition to the peacefulness and coziness of Echo Lake Inn was just what we needed! We had the most enjoyable meal with you on our first night. The entire dining experience that evening was outstanding, from the couple glasses of wine we enjoyed in our room that we purchased from the little store down the road, to the drink we enjoyed from the pub before being escorted to the dining room, and most of the all the most delicious, fresh, hot, created-with-thought and made-with-love food we could have asked for. It was the best dinner I’ve ever had in my 35 years of living! I had the ravioli and my squeeze had the steak special, forgive me, but I forget what it was. Our room was just perfect, with the large cozy bed and quaint, romantic features. We most certainly enjoyed our jacuzzi and fireplace with the extremely brisk temperatures outside. Cassie (sp?) was enjoyable at dinner and our breakfast server each morning was delightful as well. Please extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who touched our experience, and most definitely to the chef. The vegetarian ravioli was UNFORGETTABLE. I would like to express my thanks and appreciation for the service and care my classmates and I received at Echo Lake Inn last weekend. It was our second (and last!) section retreat as MBA students. You and your team made sure it was an extremely memorable one. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that it was not only the inn that was charming, but also the team! We were there for less than 48 hours, but one would have thouqht we had been there for weeks judqinq by the way in which the team qreeted us and made an effort to remember our names. The inn itself was extremely well maintained – all the common areas and rooms were spotless. The basement with the pool table and other games had a very relaxing atmosphere – it was evident that a lot of thought had gone into putting it together. Handling 67 MBA students (and 3 babies!) is never an easy task, but you and your team made it a special experience for all of us. Evervthinq was handled perfectly – from our very specific food requests and restrictions, to the constantly changing number of guests, to keepinq breakfast service open for over an hour lonqer than usual. We were made to feel very comfortable – it felt less like a hotel, and more like a home! Somethinq that stood out particularly was the food – especially our meal on Saturday night. Every single dish was outstanding. Please pass on my compliments to the chef -people are still raving about the desserts! I also wanted to highlight my favorite memory of the trip – making s’mores in the firepit that you very kindly set up for us. We had a great trip, and I have recommended the Echo Lake Inn to all my friends and family. Thank you for helping us create memories that will last us a lifetime! MBA Student Retreat
From the moment we set foot on Echo Lake Inn’s beautiful campus and sat down with innkeeper Tom, we knew we had found the right venue. Previously, we had looked at a handful of others venues, but the best features of all of them came together at ELI – and for a great price! First of all, when you book your wedding at ELI, the whole inn becomes exclusively yours for the weekend. We had about 140 people at our wedding, so I chose to get very hands-on with room assignments to squeeze people into every nook and cranny (Tom also helped us book The Inn at Water’s Edge across the street, and the Little Brook House a few doors down) and everyone loved being so close together. Secondly, the amenities are amazing: swimming pool, jacuzzi, tennis & volleyball courts, bonfire pit, canoes on the lake, lawn games, darts, billiards, board games… no one was ever board, and there was something for everyone! Also, we had really wanted to incorporate sustainability, history, and a natural indoor-outdoor feel to the wedding. The Inn has great historic value, and the 200-person tent out back (which has a paved and carpeted floor) was PERFECT for the reception! Tom and Kyle and the rest of team gave us amazing service throughout the planning process and the week of. They made every special detail we wanted come to life – sourcing meat from our favorite nearby farm for the rehearsal dinner BBQ, transporting chairs and decor to my parent’s mountain-side camp 15 mins away for the ceremony (usually the Inn holds the ceremony on their own beautiful property or at the church next door), setting off a breathtaking firework show at the end of the reception – I cannot imagine being able to do so many custom, unique, special things at any other venue. I could probably go on forever about how the team at ELI made our dreams come true – we recommend them 1000%

AWESOME wedding Venue
We just had our 125 person wedding at the Echo Lake Inn this past weekend and it was fantastic!! It was essentially a destination wedding, us being from Boston, and we had to accommodate lodging for 125 guests. Tom, the innkeeper, and his staff were absolutely fantastic throughout the process. We visited and stayed multiple weekends during the wedding process and were well taken care of each time!! Our guests raved about all the different wedding events the Echo Lake Inn offers and LOVED utilizing the pool, the hottub, the basement and upstairs bars throughout the weekend. The venue is gorgeous and unique with the opportunity for the tent, the dell, and the field for partying!!!! The inn really made for an incredible weekend and Tom took amazing care of us!!! His staff were always checking in, asking to see if we needed anything!!!! We love Tom, the staff, and the Inn and plan to visit for all our anniversaries to come!

Where do I even begin!? I have nothing but good things to say about the Echo Lake Inn. This truly was the perfect wedding venue for my husband and I. We live in NY so all planning was done over the phone and via e-mail and Tom made wedding planning so easy! Tom is amazing to worth it! I was constantly e-mailing him with questions and he was always very quick to respond. Our wedding weekend was amazing! The day before the wedding we had a welcome BBQ on the front lawn, the food was amazing and everyone had a lot of fun. It was nice for our families to have that time to get to know each other before the wedding. We had a small wedding, only 50 people and I would say about 40 of them came to the welcome BBQ. And our wedding day was perfect! If there were any problems I did not hear about it. Tom, Kyle and the rest of the staff made the wedding day as stress free as it could be haha. They took care of everything! They set up the centerpieces and any other decor I wanted, I just had to show a staff member what I wanted it to look like and they took care of the rest. We had a buffet style dinner and the food was great! They have the buffet line down to a science, there was no long line that people were waiting on. And at the end of the night the staff took care of cleaning up so we just got to enjoy our after hours party in the Tavern. I highly recommend the Echo Lake Inn for your wedding! People are still talking about our wedding and several people have told us that it was the best wedding they have been to!

As the mother of the bride I can truly say Tom and his staff were extraordinarily remarkable in their caring for detail. Always his staff created a special warmth in their dealings with my daughter. Many times she remarked throughout the long planning stage how prompt Tom was in responding to her many detailed questions and that he always met her requests.

Echo Lake Inn is the perfect location for your wedding! Tom, the Innkeeper, and his whole staff were fantastic throughout the whole process and made planning our wedding from afar as easy as possible. Neil, the wedding coordinate, was great both on Friday night, and all day and night on Saturday. He made sure that everything ran smoothly and kept us stress free the entire time. Our dedicated bartender, that’s right you get one of those, Kyle was also amazing. The outdoor venue for the ceremony was absolutely gorgeous and the tent for the reception was simple yet elegant. Everything was perfect at Echo Lake Inn, and we highly recommend you book your wedding there!

As the FOB in a recent late July wedding at the ELI, I cannot recommend Tom, the staff, and the Inn highly enough. While we’re from Vermont, we had @150 guests from around the country, most of whom stayed there from Friday through Sunday, and from the BBQ rehearsal dinner to the wedding, the reception, and Sunday brunch, it was a flawless and thoroughly enjoyable time. Lots of local things and places to do and see (cremees, swimming holes, hikes), and the Inn is a charming and beautiful venue. Worth every penny.

My husband and I got married at the Echo Lake Inn on May 21st of 2016. The entire experience was wonderful, everything I had envisioned it to be! From sit downs during planning with Tom, the Inn Keeper and Neal the day of wedding planner, I felt entirely taken care of – and my mind was always at ease. It really is the tiny details that make the difference! A small part – but my husband deeply appreciated Kyle, one of the staff accompanying us when we were having photography done with a beer! I absolutely loved the surprise wish lanterns at the end of the night.
I know all of our guests, most from out of town were delighted by the Inn and extended their stays so they could enjoy more that Vermont had to offer. I would highly recommend the Echo Lake Inn to brides and grooms who are looking for a venue where all your guests can celebrate over a long weekend. You won’t regret it!

The Echo lake Inn is a historic inn that stays true to its roots, but provides everything ski country needs with incredible value. It offers casual elegance without the pretensions associated with this. Smile that you have a key and not a swipe. My wife and I found our room spacious and homey, yet we most enjoyed the plush leather chairs surrounded by photos of Calvin Coolidge and Thomas Edison in the bar. I knew we in the right place when the Patriots game was on, we entered the living room saw the 60 inch screen. We watched the whole game with Tom the Innkeeper, and trust me, it was worth the price of admission. Do enjoy a dinner at the restaurant. Another step back in time in only the best of ways; the diners have space between tables, and the food is just so good. My son and daughter-in-law got married this past fall at the Echo Lake Inn and honestly, we have memories that we will cherish forever. We want to extend a heart-felt thank you the Echo Lake Inn for their flawless execution of our event, the wonderful food, and the simple laughter and spontaneity that was the dance floor. This was an unforgettable experience and the only given is we will be back, not just as a couple but for extended family reunions. It was that good.

We recently celebrated the wedding of my daughter at the Inn and we were extremely pleased. We had the complete Inn from Friday until Sunday morning which made for a stress free weekend. Tom, the Innkeeper was accommodating to what ever we wanted and made sure the guest were happy and had what they needed. The food was excellent and the staff at the inn was friendly and hospitable in all aspects. All the guests had a wonderful time and said it was one of the best wedding they had experienced. I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone looking for a wedding venue with rustic Vermont charm and an outstanding staff that come along with it.
